Dragon is a legendary animal that has been created for the logos as a mariage of two communities/countries live in southern territory (ancient acording to I Ching southern) and in Eastern territory. The southern logos--animal is the Crocodile spell "Sau"  and the eastern logos animal is the snake: spell "Xa" .

the combination of two communities/countries, a logos of which is Dragon. Dragon is an imaginative animal, there is a proverb: "Draw leg for snake".  when the snake with a hollow body add leg and tail of the crocodile, a new animal become an imaginative dragon Original name of the dragon is Rung. The chinese cannot say R, they read as LONG.Later, Long take over Rung name.

Long become a symbol for the East in Viet culture.

Long--Dragon it self cannot exist and act outside enivironment for its roling, moving.

Saying other wise, it is not possible to have dragon if there is no big water surface as pacific costline. In I Ching, pacific ocean represents the Chan gua: the thunder, dynamic action, tornado. The dragon can be in its maximum potential, when it go with ocean.

Whether a hundred jug, bronze drum would be found in hot desert or in areas of snowing weather of the north of China, they would be meaningless pieces of clay.

Dragon or dragon phenomena can only represent the dynamic heavenly thunder, power. Each time it spreads, it needs a context of heavy thunder, tornado.

We can clearly see that the area for that intensive vibration (rung--long) cannot be the flat land of inner part of China, far away from the Pacific Ocean -(the area that china claim the root of chinese center Han infact includes very small part of current china territory)
